  1. Hi Katrin and fellow consultants–

I just manually plugged in the new weather data for a current project in the Washington DC metro area (in the Maryland suburbs, not far from David Peabody’s PH).

the data were in every cell different from the data provided by PHPP for Wash DC. without any other changes, the monthly method verification values changed as follows (in KBtus):

Specific space heat jumped from 4.71 to 4.77 (bummer!)

Heating load PLUMMETED from 4.7 to 3.4

Cooling load also fell from 3 to 2

Primary load also rose slightly, by 0.2

Using the Annual method, specific space heat FELL from 4.48 to 4.37, moving in the OPPOSITE direction as the Monthly method.

This project is still in the Precertification phase…any perspective on the movement of the values , or other advice would be welcome.

  2. Would anyone be able to put me in contact with a modular passive house manufacturer in Europe–perhaps a company that may have exhibited in Frankfurt this year? This would be for a modular home to be sited in southern Italy–hot, dry summers, mild winters.
